Jyl began her Pilate’s certification program in 2009 with Dilla Mastrangelo of Harmony Pilates Studio (extension of Core Dynamics Pilates founded by Eve Gentry and Michele Larsson). After a year and a half and 450 hours of study, Jyl was certified to teach Pilates in 2010.
After her certification, she served as an instructor at the Pilates Studio of Gainesville and then she became owner of Bristow Pilates Studio in Virginia. Jyl currently owns Lake Tapps Pilates Studio www.laketappspilates.com and is also on staff at Pacific Northwest Ballet Pilates Studios.

This produces a lesson that is challenging, empowering and encouraging so the client can truly make the Pilates method their own. Jyl has taught clients from age 13 to 81. She has taught the athlete and the non-athlete. She enjoys the amazing changes that Pilates brings to all her clients. They inspire her as much as she inspires them.
